In partnership with the RNRMC for naval families, RAF Benevolent Fund for serving RAF and the Army Central Fund for Army families, we run a number of camps at Military Establishments. Serving personnel can book places for their own children at a subsidised cost.

When you can book your places

2026 dates

All existing members and those in the exclusive Facebook group will be notified of booking dates.

Please ensure your details on your account are up to date, (if you haven’t booked before, register your details here) to make booking quick and easy.

Regular reminders will be sent in the lead up to booking opening. To allow as many families as possible to access Kings Camps, a maximum of 2 weeks per child, per season will be honoured. Join the exclusive Facebook group here to be kept informed.

Civilians are able to attend the camp at Fareham – Cams Hill School and Helensburgh – Lomond School. Please see individual venue pages for more details.

These camps are for RAF families and are subsidised by RAF Benevolent fund to £95 per child in 2026.

The camps in Mons and Netherlands are subsidised by RNRMC, RAF Benevolent fund and Army Central Fund to £95 per child.

MOD can attend at £190 per child, per week.

Here's what to expect from your week

Each week is a new week at Kings Camps, but the general flow is...

Monday Warm up and welcome

It all kicks off with a big hello from your coaches. Begin the week with Getting To Know You Games, making new friends and start getting active.

Tuesday Core Sports and activities

Over 30 sports and activities to choose from including, Benchball, frisbee and dodgeball, to name a few.

Wednesday Wet Wednesdays

Water-based games and sports throughout Easter and summer. (Wacky Wednesday alternative at other times)

Thursday Time to team up

We'll focus on fun group sports and games like Parachute, the Secret Path and more.

Friday Become Camp Champions

Parents are invited at the end of the day, to experience the Kings Games and get a taste of what’s happened throughout the week!

See how we tailor the Multi Active programme by age

Children are grouped with others of a similar age, see below for a typical structure of how the day, sports and activities vary by age.

5-7

Younger members love Multi Active. Camp enables them to try lots of new activities such as parachute games, circle games, swimming and other sports and active games. Coaches focus on developing core skills such as agility, balance and co-ordination.

8-11

8-11s benefit from 45 minute sports and activity sessions during camp. Designed to encourage learning and progression in a variety of sports, and giving them the chance to develop their appreciation for teamwork. Inter-group challenges offer the opportunity to participate alongside older children too.

12-14

Teens enjoy a challenge, so we channel their energy into hour-long sports sessions focusing on technique and positive competition. Teens develop confidence and life-skills such as teamwork, leadership and co-operation, giving 12 – 14s the opportunity to be active and hang-out with friends! (This group is often smaller in numbers so please call to check ages by camp)

Activity, fun & leadership skills for 15-17s

At Kings Camps, our older teens – aged 15 – 17 attend our Rookie Academy programme where they develop leadership skills and improve their self-confidence by participating in, delivering and leading sports and activities with all ages, alongside support from our Red Tops.

The Rookie Academy has three levels, each representing a progression in skills development. Each level takes a minimum of two weeks to complete and can be over multiple seasons. A number of guided hours need to be logged in the Rookie workbook for each level and only one level can be completed each season.

The Rookie Academy, specifically Level 3, has been quality assured and endorsed by 1st4sport – a recognised and regulated awarding body.

Develop confidence and leadership skills such as planning, organisation, self-reflection and problem solving.

Rookie Academy is proven to be a great practical experience for teens considering a career in sport, coaching and education. After completing the programme and turning 18, Rookies can progress to work as a Red Top on camp, as part of our coaching team.

Work for us

Using the Rookie Academy workbook, and supported by Red Tops, teens complete tasks and learn about active sports coaching and topics such as health and safety (we make it more interesting than it sounds!), activity-session planning and delivery, techniques for managing child behaviour, assessing and analysing performance and target setting.

The programme links practical experience and activities with theory. A Level 3 Diploma Certificate is available on completion of all 3 levels, and certificates can be added to CVs and higher education applications.

Level 1 – Log minimum 5 hours practical work
Level 2 – Log minimum 10 hours practical work
Level 3 – Log minimum 15 hours practical work
1st4sport Level 3 Diploma Certificate on completion of all levels.

All teens attending the Rookie Academy will receive a Rookie pack at the start of each level. This includes a welcome letter, workbook, t-shirt and lanyard and will arrive in the post, the week prior to camp starting.

Rookies progress to lead their own sessions under the supervision of our professional team.
