Supporting Families – removing barriers to Getting Children Active
As a not-for-profit, our vision is for A World Where Children Love Being Active. The Supporting Families Programme benefits the lives of children and families through sport and activity by providing subsidised places at our activity camps. The subsidised places benefit individual families, organisations and charities and military families. Our Supporting Families programmes mainly impact children and families in the UK but can also cover International projects. By 2030, our aim is to have impacted the lives of 85,000 children on our school holiday camps and our Active Play programme in schools; 2,000 of those places to be supported through the Supporting Families programme.

We offer subsidised places to families, charities and organisations, enabling and encouraging children to enjoy sport and activity in the school holidays, which, without our support, they may not otherwise have access to…

You may wonder what this means – and specifically what it means for you?
As a not-for-profit, all of our income is generated from our activity camps – Kings Camps and this is used towards all the typical operating costs you’d expect, including recruiting the best people, operating at fantastic venues and purchasing equipment to give the very best on-camp experience for children.
This allows us to reinvest a significant portion of our camp income into our Supporting Families programme, helping more families in need to access Kings Camps activity camps.
If you’d like to contribute to our Supporting Families programme, your donation will enable us to reach more families and children who can gain from the benefits sports and activity bring to their health and wellbeing.
There is no commitment to monthly payments – this is a one-off donation.
Your contributions help us provide a lasting impact on young people and their families
Here’s just a few testimonials from families who have benefited from our Supporting Families places. Regardless of the reasons why they have been allocated places; young carer, family illness or financial reasons, we can see the impact and benefit that these families gain from a Supporting Families subsidised place, which they may not otherwise experience.

It just lets him be himself and not a young carer. He has to help a lot with his brother during the holidays

My child has a lot of energy and loves to be active so their time at Kings Camp was so special, especially being able to participate in team sports which we cannot provide at home.

To be offered a place at Kings Camp means the world to us. I am a single parent, I have no family in England, I went through breast cancer stage 3 which has affected our life tremendously as you can imagine. And from day one, which was about 4 years ago, Kings camp was there for us. My son had somewhere amazing and safe to go to during the summer holidays and half term, whilst having treatment, whilst recovering and now whilst working! If it wasn’t for all the help and support that Kings camp gave us, I just do not know how we would have survived and still now, when my son has 7 weeks off school and I’m working for 5 of them I am so so so grateful that my son can attend camp, otherwise my son would become very depresses and would also probably become obese. We owe Kings camp so much.

I see my Daughters mood lift as soon as the week is approaching, she asks when camp is and counts the days. She has really benefited from being so active and being with other kids during this time. She has seemed content and excited, which is all I want.
