Forming part of the wider Kings Camps management team, the Regional Manager has overall responsibility for the delivery of a high-quality Kings Camps experience, across a number of camps in a specified region.

The primary role is to travel and visit each venue at least once a week, which may involve overnight stays, flexible working and being on-call to react to the unexpected.

Regional Managers are the first point of contact for a number of Camp Managers in a region and are responsible for contributing to successful camps by troubleshooting, resolving staffing challenges, responding swiftly to incidents, and providing advice for safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour management.

During a season, Regional Managers liaise with Camp Managers daily or weekly, referring to child and parent feedback and taking appropriate action. We use well-proven programme audit, and staff evaluation processes as important factors in our quality assurance.

Regional Management requires travel throughout a region, so a full driving licence, access to a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to travel is essential. (Travel costs are reimbursed.)

Our Swimming programme makes Kings Camps stand out from the rest, as we make a splash and get our young people in the water to develop their water confidence in a life-skill. Find out more about how our Swimming Teachers and Lifeguards are responsible for the delivery of a high-quality, school-holiday, Kings Camps experience, ensuring children aged 5 to 17 are active, having fun and learning together.

  • Swimming Teacher

Children are grouped by age – typically 5-7, 8-10, 11-14 and 15-17 – for swim activities, so Swim Teachers need to be able to adapt for varying age and ability levels, devising and delivering structured, active games and fun activities (rather than a learn to swim programme). Our programme is designed to focus on building water-confidence and basic stroke technique, all through fun and engaging games and activities.

Safety is our number one priority, so Swim Teachers work closely with Lifeguards, Camp Managers and venue staff to ensure the facilities and equipment are safe, conducting risk assessments, monitoring water conditions, and mitigating incidents. Swim Teachers need to ensure all children and support staff adhere to our policies, and the venue’s Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plan throughout.

Swim sessions typically last between 30 – 45 minutes and groups rotate with support staff throughout the day. Session times and pool availability will vary, but we typically run sessions between 9.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
