Kings Camps offer our Red Tops opportunities for training and development. Read more below to find out more about our training programme.

Pre-Camp:

First Aid

Kings Camps, in conjunction with external partners Tiger Lily First Aid and Mini First Aid offer subsidised paediatric first aid training for contracted staff. Contact our Contracting and Onboarding team for more details.

Online Learning

Our online learning, hosted by LearnUpon is our unique training portal with core information about working on camp and delivering The Kings Factor.

With information on our programmes, policies, your role and responsibilities there’s everything you need to know about delivering the greatest camp experience for children and to get the very best out of working for Kings Camps.

Interactive Online Training

To bring your online learning to life, we deliver Interactive Online Training sessions that will enable you to interact with us, ask questions and give you some top tips for delivery via Microsoft Teams calls, ensuring you get the very best experience out of your time as a Red Top!

With sessions tailored to your role and a choice of times and dates, our Red Tops find the sessions invaluable!

Induction Days

The induction day prior to camp starting is a paid training day with the rest of your camp team. This is a multipurpose day designed to help you familiarise yourself with the venue, meet your team, pick up your uniform and physically set up the equipment/displays in preparation for the week(s) ahead.

During Camp

On camp

The Camp Manager will offer guidance and undertake evaluations to help with training and development.

We promote from within and are always keen to see our Red Tops develop their experience and we’re able to support this through Step Up opportunities. These opportunities are discussed with individuals on a case by case basis.

Regional Manager and HQ support

We provide support through our Regional Managers and our Head Office team are available to support you too! Via WhatsApp or phone calls, there is always support available at the end of the phone.

Rewards and Recognition

We’re committed to celebrating the commitment and dedication of our Red Tops, and our Rewards programme offers both individuals and teams the opportunity for  recognition. By considering parent feedback, peer nominations, and input from our Regional Management and Head Office team, we look to celebrate and acknowledge hard work! Specialist camp activities, celebrations and vouchers are just some of the ways we reward our teams.

After successful interview and issue of a contract, further training information and opportunities will be provided to staff!
