UK summer camps for overseas families
At Kings Camps, children of all backgrounds have the opportunity to socialise with their peers and immerse themselves in an English-speaking environment where they can play sports and activities whilst having fun and getting active. Parents can have complete peace of mind knowing their children are in safe hands. Our sports coaches, all have enhanced safety checks (known as DBS/PVG – an essential requirement for working with children in the UK) and love to provide fun and engaging active sports sessions in the holidays!
We operate in some of the best independent schools and universities across the UK. Many of our camps are in big cities, which makes travel from the airport easier! Kings Camps are non-residential, we operate day camps so accommodation would need to be sought separately.

Speaking English at Camp
No, your child does not need to be fluent in English to join us at camp. We welcome many international children each year, and children are not expected to have an advanced level of English.
However, for safety reasons, children must have a basic understanding of English so that they are capable of following instructions and directions as provided by our Red Tops (the coaches) and communicating if they feel unwell on camp. Yes, camp is a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their English as well as their confidence in their speaking ability. Most of our camps weeks are populated by international children from all different countries across the globe. Parents have found that camp has provided a fantastic opportunity for their children to develop both their speaking ability as well as their English comprehension through interacting with coaches as well as other children on camp.
No, all of our camps are focused on getting children active through sports, games and activities. Whilst no English courses or classes will take place on camp, we often receive feedback that it’s a fantastic real-life, supportive environment to practice speaking English.
International Children on Camp
Our sports and activity camps are non-residential. As day camps, parents (or the responsible adult during the child’s stay in the UK) will need to bring the child to and from camp each day. We do not offer any transport or travel arrangements.
We don’t have accommodation available for children and their families attending our camps. Our camps are day camps and children will return home each day. Many families from overseas either stay with friends or relatives or stay at local hotels, apartments or use Airbnb.
From Kings Camps perspective, there are no additional requirements for international children. However, we do ask that emergency contacts are provided on your profile, and are contactable in the UK during camp.
Whilst we do welcome many children from overseas, we cannot guarantee they will be at the same location and dates as you have booked.
Absolutely, we accept children on camp from all across the globe. We don’t limit any family’s access to camp due to where they originate from nationally.
Camp Information
No, there is no food provided by Kings Camps. Therefore, we ask all children to bring along a packed lunch, snacks and a refillable water bottle.
You can make your booking on our website. Visit our venues page, select your venue, and follow the booking journey. When children are visiting us from overseas, please add this in the child notes with any information about their level of English to help our staff.
No, we do not offer residence during camp. All of our camps are day camps that operate from Monday – Friday 8:15am-5:30pm.
