The Lead Coach position is a key role for any energetic and experienced team player. Supporting the Management team on our larger sites, you’ll share responsibility for the child experience, programme and timetable delivery, working with the coaching team to demonstrate great session ideas and ensure children are active, having fun and learning together.

About the Role

The Lead Coach will support every member of their team to implement fun, varied and effective programme and timetable delivery throughout the week.

You’ll be leading by example to ensure we run high-energy, fun and inclusive sessions to get every child active and having fun, regardless of their ability.

Stating off the day by supporting with registration and extended hours, you’ll work with the team to provide practical session advice, guide new staff with ideas and structure and you’ll be the point person for delivery of Wet Wednesday, Coaches Challenge, Themed Activities, Kings Games, Star of the Day and the Rookie experience.

You’ll be an all rounder, taking a coaching role where necessary to step into ratio, modelling best practice, assist with behaviour management, covering staff breaks or support transitions and toilet trips – all to ensure all children have a varied, fun and active Kings Camps experience.

Person Specification

We’re looking for high-energy, confident and fun individuals who can demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • At least 6 months’ consecutive experience working with 5 – 14 year olds
  • Ideally 6 months prior experience working with Kings Camps
  • At least 6 months’ experience in programme delivery or sports coaching
  • A real team player who’s happy to rotate duties and form positive relationships with colleagues
  • Have a passion for the child experience and can demonstate The Kings Factor!
  • Possess or willing to acquire a Paediatric First Aid qualification (training opportunities available)

We have exceptional facilities in great locations across the UK, from Aberdeen to Exeter!

Availability: You’ll need to be available between 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday, during the school holidays.
