We know that it is our people that really bring Kings Camps to life by demonstrating the Kings Factor and we can’t wait to shout about, celebrate and reward great performance. This summer, we will be collating feedback and collecting nominations for Red Top of the Year, Manager of the Year and Camp of the Year. There is sure to be high competition for these awards – so make sure you stand out from the crowd!

A panel of representatives from Kings Head Office will then have the tough decision to choose the nominees and winners, based on criteria outlined below. We look forward to seeing your awesome efforts on Kings Camps this summer – let’s make it our best one yet!

Team of the Week

Our Regional Managers are assigned a budget to recognise and treat their thriving team of each week! Who will be announced each week on our platforms based on the Regional’s observations and interactions during each week.

Red Top of the Year

This award covers Scotland, England, Wales and EU camps across the entire summer season and includes coaches (including KS1 and teen), swim teachers and lifeguards

There is no limit to the number of nominations a Red Top can receive

You can be nominated through:

‘Coach of the Week’ nominations from Site Managers via the weekly report
An evaluation score of 23 or more
Name mentioned in FDF, Feefo, direct email to HO or social media comment by parents
Nominations from Regional Managers or Head Office visits to camp for outstanding performance or specific contribution
Nominations from HO staff for anyone going above and beyond

Winners will be chosen by HO panel based on both quality and quantity of nominations

The winner will be announced 29 August which will be broadcast across our social media channels

We are looking for Red Tops who…

Facilitates activity sessions and a camp environment that is inclusive, active, progressive, safe and fun
Demonstrates consistently an energetic, passionate, inspiring and fun persona
Acts as a team player; they’re a supportive, helpful, positive influence
Shows a flexible approach to working hours and locations
Goes above and beyond whilst representing Kings Camps!

Manager of the Year

The winners will be chosen by HO panel based on the nominations and accompanying data around their performance and ‘Managers’ include site and assistant managers

Nominations will be submitted by Regional Managers and HO staff, taking into account feedback from their staff and the parents

Criteria includes:

Evaluation scores
First Day Feedback – scores and narrative
Feefo – scores and narrative
Camp Visit Feedback
Regional Manager feedback and nominations
Head Office staff feedback and nominations
Staff team feedback and nominations
Parent feedback and nominations
Equipment pack down feedback
Reporting and paperwork – on-time and effectively completed
Social media interactions and contributions

Scotland winners will be announced on 15 August and England, Wales & EU will be announced on 29 August

Camp of The Year

The Camp of The Year award will be split into Scotland camps and later in the summer into England, Wales & EU camps

Winners will be chosen by HO panel based on the nominations and accompanying data around their performance
