Right to Work process

In line with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, you must provide evidence of your eligibility to work in the UK. This must take place every Kings Camps season so please prepare your original passport (or other documentation, see below) in the lead up to camp.

What you’ll need:

  • Your in-date British or Irish passport (don’t hold one? See below for an alternative route)
  • Your mobile phone
  • 10 minutes

Step 1

Look out for an email from YOTI inviting you to complete a Digital Right To Work check for Kings Camps (don’t forget to check your junk mail too!)

Step 2

Read the instructions carefully and take a minute to review the information before you begin.

Ensure you have 10 minutes and find a room with good lighting in order to take a picture with no glare

Step 3

Follow the instructions and take a clear photo of your main passport page

Step 4

Next, take a selfie to prove it is you doing the check (Be aware it will capture the whole frame of your camera, not just the document/selfie!)

Step 5

Bring your passport to induction day to show your manager, this ensures that legally, you’re the same person turning up for work.

Key things to note:

  • You’ll need to use your original passport, not a photograph of it!
  • Ensure there are no shadows/ glare on the document photos you submit
  • Remember you still need to bring your passport to induction day

Don’t have an in date-British or Irish passport?

Simply, you do not need to complete the YOTI digital Right to Work check. Instead, your Site Manager will do a manual Right To Work check with the documents you bring to induction day

What documents can you use for a manual Right to Work Check?

  • An expired British or Irish Passport/ passport card
  • Original Birth or Adoption Certificate together with an official government- issued document giving your National Insurance number and full name.
  • A current Immigration Status Document (such as a BRP or Visa) issued by the Home Office with an endorsement indicating that you are allowed to stay indefinitely in the UK or have no time limit on your stay in the UK, together with an official government- issued document giving your National Insurance number and full name.
