Getting children active is our passion and it’s what we’ve done for over 25 years. We provide the opportunity for children to try new sports and active games, bringing fun and excitement to school holidays.
Kings Camps operate at over 50 top UK venues, providing an energetic, positive and safe environment.
What makes us different?
We make sport and activity enjoyable and free from pressure. We’re not trying to create future sports stars (although some children have gone on to top-level sport), rather we try to instil a love for being active.
To ensure this we recruit only the best staff. We need them to have energy, passion and enthusiasm – something we call The Kings Factor® – and you’ll see the difference it makes on camp. With over 15,000 applicants each year, we’re privileged to be able to select only those that we believe will provide your child with a week to remember.
Kings Camps is unique. As a non-profit organisation we also work internationally to get children active, particularly marginalised and disadvantaged children. By choosing Kings Camps, you are investing in your child and you’re joining an organisation that uses its resources to benefit children across the world.
Inspected and Trusted
We work to ensure our camps meet the highest standards. We’re inspected by Ofsted and our staff have an up to date Disclosure Barring System (DBS) check. Our management training ensures we provide comprehensive supervision, child protection and First Aid.
Our exemplary health and safety record has been rewarded with the RoSPA President’s Award – a result of achieving their highest level of safety for every one of the last 10 years.
We are thankful to the thousands of parents who give us their positive and honest feedback on Feefo. This independent site, ensures you hear the impartial views of parents like you and we’re pleased to achieve 95% positive ratings each year.
Since we started Kings Camps in 1991, we’ve not wavered in our belief that keeping children active helps them to adopt a healthy lifestyle and fulfil their potential.
We group children with others of the same age. This means children can be with their friends and make new friends as they enjoy the special Kings Camps atmosphere that’s filled with laughter and fun with group chants, challenges and competitions and of course – structured activity sessions.
Our Multi-Active programme for primary school children provides a wide range of activities and because children love to swim, we ensure they get multiple sessions every week (at all venues with a pool).
For children who love football and cricket, many of our locations host International Soccer (ISS) and International Cricket (ICS) schools in the morning. Energised with games, challenges, chants and theme colours, ICS and ISS include coaching skills and techniques from around the world and finish with a fun carnival at the end of the week.
New for 2016 – the Rookie Programme starts from age 12 and in addition to enjoying games and sports, Teens on our Rookie Programme get the opportunity to lead sessions and choose their activities.
At 14 teens have the option of joining the Rookie Leadership Academy where they plan and deliver sport sessions alongside our coaching teams. With a structured programme of learning, Rookies are recognised by universities and employers as young people that have a commitment to their personal development.
