All staff (new and returning) must attend their camps Induction Day. It is typically the weekend before Camp (please check your exact date and time below) and will last no longer than four hours.

This is a paid training day that forms part of your employment contract, and failure to attend may result in your contract being terminated.

On the day, you will meet your team, take a tour of the venue you’re working at, prepare the equipment for camp, risk assess the site and run through how the first morning will look. In doing so, our staff are more prepared and are ready for when the children arrive.

Induction Days –

What you need to bring with you:

  • Evidence of your eligibility to work in the UK – this is either your passport/ Biometric Residence Permit PLUS a photocopy of the exact same document to hand in to your Site Manager. NOTE: Driving licenses are NOT acceptable.

We want our staff to be the best they can be, and in 2023 we’re committed to giving all of our Red Tops the opportunity to level up and gain a qualification in Paediatric First Aid – a qualification and life-skill that you can use outside of camp.

Delivered by external partners, Tigerlilly Training, we’re committed to part-funding courses for staff members, with course locations across England and Wales throughout the year – for Scotland based staff, we host training days on pre-arranged dates.

For more information on enrolling on first aid training,  Email:  contractingteam@kingscamps.org with your full name and contracted role with Kings Camps to find out more information.
