Located with great access

The University of Reading is a public university located in Reading, Berkshire. It was established in 1892 as University College, Reading and received its Royal Charter in 1926 from King George V. It was the only university to receive its charter between the two world wars and is therefore a red brick university.

Reading has been ranked as one of the top 200 universities in the world. It is ranked 156th in the latest 2015 QS World University Rankings. It is also one of the UK’s leading research-intensive universities.

Reading is only 30 minutes from central London and 40 minutes from Heathrow.

The University offers the best of all worlds in terms of location: a safe green campus, a buzzing town on the doorstep, and London close by.

Great sports facilities for children

The university is renowned for its sporting facilities and benefits from the modern Sports Park centre, located on the edge of the beautiful Whiteknights Campus. Their facilities include a large sports hall, tennis courts, a synthetic turf football pitch and outdoor playing fields.
