Holiday swimming lessons for beginner swimmers

Our Splash learn to swim programme has two levels, beginner and intermediate. Splash for beginners is for 4-5’s who are happy in the water with buoyancy aids and Splash for intermediates is for 5-8’s who are confident with minimal or no flotation devices.

At Splash, we believe the best way for children to learn to swim is through enjoyment and that's why both levels use enjoyable games and activities to teach children essential skills such as water confidence, coordination and basic stroke technique. Splash takes place daily over the course of a week from 8.30am until 9am (beginners) and from 9am until 9.30am (intermediates).

Daily attendance encourages children to remember what they have learned from one session to the next, enabling them to progress much quicker than they would by attending weekly swim lessons. Swimming is one of the most important skills that a child can learn and we aim to progress every child, setting them on track to become confident and happy swimmers.

"Splash was really great - Josh gained lots of confidence ready for our summer holidays."

Splash & the National Plan for Teaching Swimming

Splash learn to swim follows the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) which is the syllabus designed by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) to help children develop water confidence. In association with the National Plan for Teaching Swimming, Splash helps children develop basic swimming skills and guides beginner swimmers through the first four stages of the NPTS to become competent swimmers.

Top facilities & swimming teachers

We don’t run our Splash swimming lessons just anywhere – every one of our Splash venues are leading schools and universities with excellent swimming facilities. Pool time is reserved for Splash children only, giving them a calm and distraction-free swimming lesson. We employ only the best (and most fun) swimming teachers, who are all ASA Level 2 qualified, have enhanced CRB disclosures and work hard to ensure that every Splash swimmer gets the care and attention they need to develop their swimming.

Splash & the National Plan for Teaching Swimming

Every child that attends Splash learn to swim will gain a record of their achievement for their time at Splash, together with the opportunity for them to gain nationally recognised swimming awards. Splash swimmers can achieve awards for progressing through a National Plan for Teaching Swimming stage and also ASA Duckling awards for distance.
