Job Description: Assistant Manager
To assist the Site Manager in the organisation of the camp whilst fulfilling a Group Coach role. The Assistant Manager is expected to set high coaching standards and demonstrate fun, safe sessions providing a role model to the rest of the staff team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To support the Site Manager, complementing his/her role. Work with the Site Manager in preparing for the camp and following all policies and procedures.
- To set an example in ensuring the Health and Safety of the Children. To be fully aware of Health and Safety policies and inform the Site Manager of any contravention of policy. Ensure the children in your group are aware of all risks and relevant safety policies.
- To welcome children and ensure that they are being cared for and any unhappy children are encouraged. Ensure the coaches and yourself are caring for and encouraging the children.
- To work closely with the staff team, setting standards and providing guidance and support as necessary. Act as a role model to the staff team by setting and maintaining high standards in conduct, behaviour, coaching and childcare. Assist the coaches in developing their knowledge and experience.
- To ensure the safe and effective use of venue facilities and equipment. To respect the venue facilities and ensure they are treated with care and left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
