You’ve reached 14, you’re ready to move on, you want to put your skills to good use and the Rookie Leadership Programme provides the perfect opportunity to do it. Thousands of others just like you have made it by developing their leadership qualities.
The Rookie Leadership Programme provides real, practical work experience for anyone interested in sports coaching and childcare. Through sessions assisting the coaches, guidance and development from the staff team, and delivery of your own plans, Rookies develop the skills and confidence needed to become a leader.
Senior Rookies are awarded a Certificate of Voluntary Service, great for your record of achievement, CV, or college/job application. Many Rookies graduate to work for us and many go on to a career in sport, teaching or childcare related sectors.

"King’s vastly exceeded our expectations"
Julia Godfrey, Brand Manager
Kings Camps are run by the King's Foundation,
a non-profit children's educational charity.
The Foundation is developing a network of sports and
activity camps for children who are victims of
war and the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Botswana and
Uganda and we train indigenous people in sports
leadership and sports outreach. Thousands of
children and hundreds of volunteers have
already benefited.
"This year’s FIFA World Cup in Germany is the
pinnacle of the sporting careers for many of the
players taking part. Whilst only a few players will
experience playing in a world cup, I know that
children attending King’s Camps will also enjoy the
thrills and benefits from sports participation."
